Job description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Offshore Civil Engineer to join our team in Abu Dhabi contributing to the design and engineering phases of a large-scale offshore oil and gas project in the Middle East. The ideal candidate will bring substantial experience in the design of offshore and marine civil structures with a strong foundation in detailed engineering constructability reviews and offshore standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Perform and review engineering designs for offshore civil and structural components including jackets topsides pile foundations subsea structures and marine terminals.
  • Develop and check detailed engineering deliverables such as design calculations construction drawings material take-offs (MTOs) loadout/lift/transport analyses and installation procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant international codes (e.g. API RP 2A ISO 19901 DNV) ADNOC specifications and local authority requirements.
  • Coordinate with geotechnical structural and marine engineering teams to optimize foundation and substructure designs.
  • Participate in design reviews constructability workshops and HAZID/HAZOP sessions.
  • Interface with offshore installation teams to provide technical support and resolve construction or installation issues.
  • Review and assess contractor and vendor documentation for civil and structural scope.
  • Ensure civil design integrates effectively with mechanical electrical and process systems in offshore environments.
  • Prepare technical specifications scopes of work and contribute to bid evaluations and contract documentation.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering.
  • Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in offshore oil and gas civil/structural engineering with at least 5 years in detailed design of offshore facilities.
  • Proven experience in pile foundation design grillage design deck structures and marine loading/offloading facilities.
  • Proficiency in structural design software (e.g. SACS SESAM or equivalent).
  • Solid understanding of hydrodynamic and environmental loads on offshore structures.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with fluency in English.
  • Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Chartered Engineer or equivalent professional certification.
  • Prior experience with Middle East offshore projects particularly ADNOC projects.
  • Knowledge of brownfield offshore modifications structural integrity assessments and life extension studies.
