Job description

Network Security Engineer
Netsentries is committed to ensuring the security and integrity of our clients' operations, systems, and data. As part of our dedication to maintaining high standards of security, we are seeking a talented and experienced Network Security Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities:
  • Assess the security and compliance of infrastructure and application technologies to protect customers and employees from attacks.
  • Encourage a 'Shift Left' Mindset by proactively embedding security requirements from the start of the development cycle.
  • Perform security assessments and gap analyses, providing appropriate remediations to implementation teams.
  • Take responsibility for securing various infrastructure components including OS, databases, virtual private networks, proxies, firewalls, data centers, and Active Directory.
  • Conduct configuration reviews and audits for network components and appliances.
  • Participate in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing activities.
  • Review security code for Ansible and Jenkins scripts.
  • Evaluate end-point solutions such as AV and EDR.
  • Assess next-generation firewall reviews, IDS, IPS.
  • Review application security and WAF rules.
  • Conduct policy reviews for firewalls, proxies, etc.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a computer-related field such as computer science, cyber/information security, physics, mathematics, or similar.
  • Master’s degree in business administration, information security, human resource management, finance, or international business from reputed institutes like Harvard.
  • Certifications in Network Security (CCNA, CCNP, CCIE) and Security Pentest (OSCP, GPEN, LPT, CPT) or similar are desirable.
  • Minimum 4-9 years of experience in an information security function with a strong background in information technology, stakeholder management, and people management.
  • Minimum 3-5 years' experience as a Network Security Engineer.
  • Deep foundational knowledge and understanding of Information Security concepts.
  • Good understanding of enterprise-level target architecture and public and private cloud platforms (IaaS/PaaS).
  • Hands-on experience in solutioning technology architectures involving perimeter protection, core protection, and end-point protection/detection.
  • Strong skill set in Endpoint technologies such as AV, EDR, SIEM.
  • Automation skills in scripting languages like Python.
  • Ability to interpret security requirements mandated by oversight functions and ensure comprehensive coverage.
  • Superior written and verbal communication skills for effectively communicating security threats and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
