Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform NonDestructive Testing (NDT) methods to evaluate materials and components for defects.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports documenting findings.
  • Review engineering drawings to determine required inspections.
  • Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained.
  • Identify material defects and other potential hazards.
  • Collaborate with engineers to assess issues discovered during inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international standards.
  • Assist in developing inspection procedures to improve quality control.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior inspectors.
  • Ensure safety protocols are followed during inspection processes.

Skills

Indepth knowledge of NDT techniques such as UT, RT, MPI, DPT, and VT
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications

Job description

Job Title: NDT Inspector

Location: Dubai

Experience: 3 Years

Salary: Depends Upon Experience

Main Responsibilities
  • Perform NonDestructive Testing (NDT) methods such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Radiographic Testing (RT) Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI) Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT) and Visual Inspection (VT) to evaluate materials and components for defects and structural integrity.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed inspection reports documenting test results findings and recommendations.
  • Review engineering drawings and specifications to determine the type of inspection and testing required.
  • Ensure that inspection equipment is calibrated and maintained according to standards.
  • Identify material defects cracks corrosion and other potential hazards in structural components welds and machinery.
  • Collaborate with engineers and other team members to assess and rectify any issues discovered during inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with local and international standards (ASME ASTM ISO etc. and project specifications.
  • Assist in developing inspection procedures and methods to improve quality control processes.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior inspectors or technicians when needed.
  • Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed during inspection processes.
Essential Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; certification in NDT methods (e.g. ASNT Level II Level III) is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in NDT inspection preferably in industries such as oil & gas manufacturing or construction.
  • Additional certifications in specific NDT techniques (e.g. UT RT MPI DPT) are preferred.
