Overview

Microsoft Dynamics 365 - F&O System Administrator

We are seeking an experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) System Administrator to join our IT team. This role is responsible for managing, maintaining, and securing our Microsoft ERP platform (Dynamics 365 F&O / SCM), ensuring stability, scalability, and 99% service uptime. The administrator will collaborate closely with Application, Infrastructure, and Vendor teams to support ongoing operations and future rollouts.

Key Responsibilities

Environment & Service Management

  • Administer, configure, and maintain Dynamics 365 F&O environments.
  • Manage release schedules, Microsoft updates, and patching.
  • Monitor system capacity, availability, and performance, optimizing as needed.
  • Maintain user permissions, security roles, and access reviews.
  • Oversee backup management, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes.
  • Support integrations with related platforms (Power BI, Azure services, third-party apps).
  • Prepare and deliver routine service reports and system health updates.

Incident & Problem Management

  • Act as primary contact for ERP support incidents and service requests.
  • Log, troubleshoot, and resolve issues within agreed SLAs.
  • Coordinate with Microsoft and external vendors to investigate and close escalations.
  • Analyze recurring incidents and implement problem resolutions.
  • Provide field support, guidance, and training to end-users and helpdesk staff.

Change, Release & Patch Management

  • Plan and implement approved system changes, code migrations, and environment refreshes.
  • Manage upgrade cycles, patch deployments, and security updates following change-management standards.
  • Support DevOps activities, customizations, integrations, and reporting initiatives.
  • Maintain baseline configuration documentation and compliance reports.

Capacity, Performance & Availability

  • Benchmark ERP performance and recommend optimization strategies.
  • Automate housekeeping and alerting for logs, storage, and resource utilization.
  • Ensure robust disaster-recovery testing and backup verification.

Collaboration & Compliance

  • Work closely with Infrastructure, Application, BI, and ERP functional teams to ensure seamless system operation.
  • Enforce IT policies, security guidelines, and release management procedures.
  • Champion service improvements and efficiency initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 8+ years overall administrative experience, with 3–5 years in Dynamics 365 F&O / SCM, DevOps, or Azure administration.
  • Proficiency with Lifecycle Services (LCS), ERP cloud administration, and security configuration.
  • Strong understanding of Azure services, SQL, Power BI, and integration concepts.
  • Hands-on experience managing environments, monitoring, and performance tuning.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and service-management best practices.
Certifications (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified: Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations / Supply Chain Management (System Administration).
  • Azure Administrator or equivalent certification is a plus.
