Job description

Overview

To carry out installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems, ensuring all building facilities and equipment operate efficiently and safely.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on MEP systems (electrical panels, HVAC, plumbing, pumps, motors, etc.).
• Inspect, diagnose, and repair faults in electrical wiring, lighting, control systems, and equipment.
• Maintain and repair plumbing systems, including water supply, drainage, pumps, and sanitary fixtures.
• Assist with the installation and maintenance of HVAC systems, air conditioning units, and related equipment.
• Monitor building management systems (BMS) and respond to alarms or faults promptly.
• Carry out scheduled inspections of MEP equipment and record findings.
• Respond to emergency breakdowns and provide effective troubleshooting solutions.
• Ensure all work is performed in compliance with safety standards, regulations, and company policies.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and spare parts usage records.
• Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repair or installation work.
• Support other maintenance staff in day-to-day operations and ensure minimal downtime of systems.

Requirements

• Diploma / ITI certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Plumbing Engineering (or related field).
• Proven experience as an MEP Technician or similar role (minimum [X] years).
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems, electrical safety, plumbing codes, and HVAC principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in confined spaces, heights, and varying conditions.
• Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and emergency call-outs as required.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Experience in large-scale facilities such as schools, hospitals, malls, or residential complexes.
• Basic computer literacy for reporting and documentation.
• Multilingual communication skills (English, Hindi, etc.) are an advantage.
