We are looking for a Mechanical Project Engineer for a government affiliated entity based in the UAE.

Salary – 17,000 AED/month + benefits

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7–10 years of relevant experience in real estate or infrastructure projects in the UAE/GCC.
  • Experience with both consultants and contractors.
Technical Skills:
  • Proficient in HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire protection systems.
  • Strong interpretation of mechanical schematics, layouts, and coordination drawings.
  • Skilled in MS Office, AutoCAD; experience with Revit/BIM is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of Sharjah Municipality, SEWA, and Civil Defense processes.
  • Familiarity with sustainable design practices and green building standards is an advantage.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in managing mechanical engineering activities related to HVAC, chilled water, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, gas, and other MEP systems across all project phases.
  • Coordinate with consultants, contractors, site teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure technical alignment and on‑time delivery.
  • Provide input on value engineering opportunities, risk mitigation strategies, and mechanical system optimization.
  • Assist in preparing project briefs and feasibility inputs for mechanical systems during planning and master‑planning stages.
  • Review and provide comments on mechanical design submissions (Concept to IFC), ensuring compliance with local (Sharjah Municipality, Civil Defense, SEWA) and international codes (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC).
  • Review mechanical portions of tender documents, including BOQs, specs, and drawings; respond to queries and support technical bid evaluations.
  • Supervise the site execution of mechanical works, including reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, RFIs, and coordination drawings.
  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of all mechanical systems; ensure as‑built documentation and O&M manuals are complete and support FM coordination.
