A growing accounting firm in the UAE is seeking an experienced Accounts//Tax Manager to oversee client engagements in accounting, advisory, and taxation. The candidate will ensure compliance with UAE regulations and manage a team of professionals. A bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and professional qualifications such as CA or ACCA are required, along with 6–8 years of relevant experience.

Qualifications

  • 6–8 years of relevant experience in accounts, audit, and tax in a reputed accounting/audit firm.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS, ISA, UAE VAT & Corporate Tax framework.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise bookkeeping, financial reporting, and monthly/annual closing for clients.
  • Review financial statements in compliance with IFRS.
  • Provide tax advisory services including structuring and planning.

Job description

We are seeking an experienced and detail-orientedAccounts//Tax Managerto join our growing accounting firm in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing client engagements in accounting, advisory, and taxation, ensuring compliance with UAE regulations, International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), and applicable tax laws, including VAT and Corporate Tax. The candidate will also manage a team of professionals, review deliverables, and serve as the primary point of contact for clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise bookkeeping, financial reporting, and monthly/annual closing for clients.

  • Review financial statements in compliance with IFRS.

  • Provide guidance on accounting treatments for complex transactions.

  • Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and completeness of financial reports.

  • Oversee compliance with UAE VAT, Excise Tax, and Corporate Tax regulations.

  • Review and file VAT and corporate tax returns accurately and on time.

  • Provide tax advisory services, including structuring, planning, and risk management.

  • Stay updated with UAE Federal Tax Authority (FTA) guidelines and changes in tax laws.

  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, addressing queries and providing proactive solutions.

  • Manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and long-term retention.

  • Mentor, coach, and review the work of junior accountants and auditors.

  • Prepare engagement budgets, monitor progress, and ensure profitability.

Qualificationsand skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s preferred).

  • Professional qualification:CA, ACCA

  • Minimum6–8 years of relevant experiencein accounts, audit, and tax, must bewithin a reputed accounting/audit firm

  • Strong knowledge ofIFRS, ISA, UAE VAT & Corporate Tax framework

  • Proficiency in accounting/audit software

  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills

  • Ability to manage multiple engagements and deadlines
