Responsibilities
  • Providing legal advice on a wide range of matters, depending on business need and your experience and particular interest, including the following focus areas: product development, distribution/market conduct, regulatory compliance, corporate governance, operations, vendor contracting, privacy, and marketing, among other areas.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis on various issues related to the GHNW business.
  • Help to monitor, interpret, and report on relevant legal and regulatory developments that may impact the GHNW business.
  • Draft, review, and sometimes negotiate vendor contracts, policy contracts, and other legal documents.
  • Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including business leaders, compliance, risk management, among other functions, to ensure alignment and effective support for the business.
  • Support the Chief Counsel and the broader legal, compliance, and risk teams in managing risk and helping to promote high-quality sustainable growth.
Required Qualifications
  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Licensed to practice law in good standing in your jurisdiction.
  • Experience in a law firm or in-house legal department. Experience with insurance, financial services, or corporate law.
  • Outstanding analytical, research, written and verbal communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • High level of professionalism, integrity, and commitment to client service.
  • Ability to exercise discretion in handling sensitive and confidential information.
  • Energetic and personable, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
