Job Objective

Lead a team of designers in developing, reviewing, and executing detailed telecommunication engineering deliverables for projects. They are responsible for ensuring all designs comply with project specifications, industry standards, and HSE regulations, while optimizing resources to meet project schedules and budgets.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Developing detailed design packages, including structured cabling, DAS, and networking systems, while performing complex engineering calculations
  • Leading the telecom design team, monitoring progress, managing man-hours, and ensuring adherence to project schedules and budgets
  • Reviewing and approving drawings, calculations, and vendor documents to ensure quality and compliance with standards (e.g., EIA/TIA)
  • Acting as the primary technical contact for clients, architects, and contractors, including attending design reviews and performing site surveys
  • Staying updated on emerging technologies to recommend improvements for system design and performance.
  • Assist in activity and deliverable planning, scheduling, and monitoring in coordination with the Lead Engineer
  • Participate in bid engineering, including man-hour and material estimation
  • Distribute, monitor, and check the work of the assigned team to ensure quality and timely completion
  • Conduct reviews for overall completeness, safety, access and egress, materials handling, maintenance, and operability
  • Perform inter-disciplinary design checks
  • Ensure timely delivery and schedule compliance of design deliverables, including material requisitions (MRs)
  • Provide input for material requisitions, allocation, and material reconciliation
  • Review and comment on vendor drawings and incorporate vendor data into design deliverables
  • Perform site surveys as required to support design activities
  • Responsible for change management and identification of project risks
  • Ensure adherence to project specifications and compliance with company procedures
  • Propose design improvements and incorporate lessons learned into future projects
  • Support the Lead Engineer in performance assessments of designers and identification of training needs
  • Assist the Lead Engineer in achieving departmental Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Act as a checker for design-related deliverables, when necessary
  • Identify, manage, and control software requirements for design execution
  • Oversee project closeout activities, including the preparation and submission of as-built documentation
  • Coordinate project activities across multiple office locations to ensure smooth execution
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable Health, Safety, Environment, and Security (HSES) policies and procedures
  • Adhere to all applicable information security policies and procedures
