Job summary

A global technology company is seeking a Lead Technician for Security Systems in Abu Dhabi. This role involves overseeing installation and maintenance of security systems, managing a team, and ensuring safety protocols. Candidates should have at least 9 years of experience in CCTV systems, Access Control, and Intrusion Detection systems, along with strong technical expertise and a valid UAE driving license.

Qualifications

• Minimum 9 years experience with installation, testing, commissioning & servicing various brands of CCTV systems.
• Knowledgeable in programming controllers, installing & commissioning Access Control and CCTV platforms.
• Experience in preparing ADMCC submittals.

Responsibilities

• Support commissioning, replacing controllers, onsite system verification and testing activities.
• Conduct system operation training and create handover documents to ensure smooth customer handover.
• Act as focal point for client sales to achieve required solutions for client requirements.

Job description

What you will do

The Lead Technician Security Systems is a key role reporting directly to the Field Line Manager and will be based in Abu Dhabi. The Aftermarket CFS team carry out service maintenance and retrofit projects on Security Systems used for comfort and energy efficiency across multiple industries including commercial retail and hospitality.

As a Lead Technician you will support commissioning replacing the controllers and you will be responsible for the onsite system verification PPM activities testing & commissioning of additional doors/cameras Upgradations service reports of Security Management Systems (SMS) and manage overall team of technicians and subcontractors on roster based 24/7 duty shift plan.

As a member of this team you will work within a dynamic environment that provides a platform for you to develop your technical and project management skills.

How you will do it

As a Lead Technician you must have good knowledge of the latest security system products and electronics/Networking knowledge. You are hands on programming controllers installing & commissioning of various Access Control System & CCTV System Platforms Visitor Management Systems Speed gates Car Park barriers Road Blockers Bollards ANPR and set up test third party software integrations. You will demonstrate your expertise by conducting system operation training and creating handover documents to ensure a smooth handover to customers and by maintaining a high standard of safety at all times.

Required

• ITI / Diploma in Electrical /Electronic or equivalent.
• Minimum 9 Years Experience with installation Testing & Commissioning & Servicing of Various Brands CCTV systems (Avigilon HIK Pelco Avigilon) Thermal Camera & CCTV Storage systems.
• Proven technical knowledge and experience of working on Access Control systems (CEM & C-CURE ACS Applications).
• Proven technical knowledge and experience of working on Intrusion detection ANPR & PAVA Systems.
• Proven technical knowledge and experience of working on Road Blockers Bollards Gate Barrier & Fire Systems.
• Proven technical knowledge and experience of working on Hardware level Integration with Lifts Thermal Cameras & Perimeter detection systems.
• Proven knowledge and experience in preparing ADMCC submittals and requirements are required for the candidate.
• Organize and effectively utilize technical resources information material and support to assure efficient execution of all assigned tasks and coordination with third-party service providers and vendors.
• Provides solutions to others on very complex system problems by either troubleshooting or advising how to resolve problems.
• Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures to ensure all duties are performed in a safe and professional manner.
• Escalation points on technical issues and provides coaching mentoring and technical assistance to team members and clients.
• Focal point for client sales manufacturer to achieve the required solutions to fulfil the client requirements.
• Coordinate with clients IT team to understand their IT & network requirements and implement the same.
• Technical knowledge in working with UPS systems.
• Supports team in all aspects through technical expertise on systems networks and security products & applications.
• Knowledge in preparation of Incident reports and Root Cause Analysis reports
• Candidate should be fluent in English speaking & Writing
• Valid UAE Driving License
