Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking a Field Engineer to serve as the primary interface between the construction site and engineering office for ADNOC projects in Abu Dhabi. The role requires providing technical support for pipeline installations while ensuring compliance with project specifications and standards. Candidates should have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Pipeline Engineering and 15 years of relevant experience, ideally with ADNOC or major operators in the Middle East. Job description
ROLE SUMMARY

Serves as the primary interface between the construction site and the engineering/design office providing technical support for pipeline installation activities on ADNOC projects. Based in the Technical Office the Field Engineer ensures that site execution aligns with approved drawings specifications and ADNOC standards.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Review IFC (Issued for Construction) drawings material submittals and vendor documents to ensure constructability and compliance with ADNOC standards.
  • Provide timely technical support and clarifications (TQ/RFI responses) to construction teams during pipeline installation welding NDT and hydrotesting activities.
  • Coordinate with the design office site teams QA/QC and ADNOC representatives to resolve technical issues and implement approved changes.
  • Monitor and support the development of method statements ITPs and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure all engineering deliverables are aligned with ADNOC COPs (Codes of Practice) project specifications and international pipeline codes (ASME B31.4/B31.8 API 1104 etc.).
  • Track and update technical documentation redline drawings and site modifications for proper close-out and handover packages.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical or Pipeline Engineering (or equivalent).
  • 15 years of pipeline engineering experience preferably with exposure to ADNOC projects or other major operators in the Middle East.
  • Familiar with ADNOC project workflows engineering documentation and interface management between engineering and construction.
  • Strong understanding of pipeline construction processes including welding trenching lowering backfilling and hydrotesting from an engineering standpoint.
