Job summary

A prominent engineering solutions company based in Abu Dhabi is looking for a Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer. In this role, you will lead the design of electrical systems, ensure compliance with relevant standards, and support procurement and commissioning activities. A minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering in oil & gas EPC projects is required.   • Develop electrical Single Line Diagrams, cable sizing calculations, and load lists.
  • Coordinate electrical and instrumentation requirements with process and mechanical disciplines.
  • Provide technical support for procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.

Lead Electrical & Instrumentation Engineer

Responsibilities
  • Lead the design of electrical power distribution systems, control systems, and field instrumentation.
  • Ensure designs comply with relevant industry standards such as IEC, IEEE, and ATEX/IECEx regulations.
  • Develop electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), cable sizing calculations, protection coordination studies, and load lists.
  • Lead instrumentation deliverables, including I/O lists, loop diagrams, instrument datasheets, and hook-up drawings.
  • Coordinate electrical and instrumentation requirements with process and mechanical disciplines.
  • Review and approve vendor documents for electrical and instrumentation equipment.
  • Provide technical support for procurement, installation, testing, and commissioning activities.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Instrumentation Engineering.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in electrical and instrumentation engineering for oil & gas EPC projects.
  • Proficient with electrical design software and instrumentation configuration tools.
  • Solid understanding of hazardous area classification and related project experience.
