Job description

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for supporting the mechanical erection and commissioning activities on site. Specifically the key responsibilities include:

  • Follow-up of partner and subcontractor mechanical erection and commissioning activities to ensure project timelines and quality standards are met.
  • Assist the Mechanical Lead Engineer in day-to‑day construction and commissioning tasks ensuring the smooth execution of mechanical works.
  • Coordinate with partners and subcontractors as required for the assigned tasks ensuring that all mechanical activities align with the project scope and schedule.
  • Support the Mechanical Lead Engineer with technical aspects of the project and contribute to resolving any mechanical issues or challenges that arise during construction and commissioning phases.
  • Ensure adherence to all relevant quality control documentation and procedures during mechanical turnover operations (TOps).
  • Participate in pre‑commissioning and commissioning activities for mechanical systems and equipment ensuring they meet required specifications and functionality.
  • Carry out inspections and provide support in the testing of mechanical systems and components such as pumps, piping, valves and pressure systems.
  • Provide technical support for mechanical equipment installation ensuring compliance with safety and environmental standards.
  • Perform other tasks assigned by the Mechanical Lead Engineer to ensure the successful completion of mechanical activities as per project requirements.
Qualifications

Currently pursuing or holding an engineering degree or equivalent

Good command of English (spoken and written)
