Position Summary

The Junior Accountant will play a pivotal role in our Dubai office, providing expert accounting and taxation services to our French-speaking clientele. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in UAE taxation and a proven track record of delivering high-quality financial reporting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
• Manage the general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial transactions.
• Handle all aspects of UAE and European taxation, including tax returns, compliance, and advisory services.
• Advise clients on tax planning strategies to minimize their tax liabilities.
• Assist with the preparation and submission of statutory financial reports.
• Reconcile bank accounts and prepare monthly bank statements.
• Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and regulations.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide comprehensive financial support.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• French language proficiency (written and spoken) is essential
• Substantial experience in French taxation, preferably in a fiduciary or accounting firm
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero)
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
