IT Architecture & Design Manager

Location: Dubai-based with visits to Baghdad, Iraq

The Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Manager with a strong background in IT systems and solutions, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a passion for helping clients improve their technology operations. The successful candidate will work closely with clients to understand their needs, develop customized solutions, and ensure the successful implementation of IT projects.

Project Description

KBR supports the Iraq Ministry of Planning in developing economic and social policies across various government sectors to achieve national development objectives. KBR provides consultancy services including economic master planning, project prioritization, technical and financial review, project management, ongoing project monitoring, and negotiation support. Digitization is a key component of these services.

Main Responsibilities

  1. Assess client IT needs and provide strategic recommendations.
  2. Design and implement IT solutions to meet client requirements.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
  4. Conduct system audits and recommend improvements.
  5. Provide training and support to client staff.
  6. Manage IT initiatives and collaborate with technical support for hardware, software, and network configurations.
  7. Support the latest technology implementations.
  8. Provide support with technical issues to improve processes.
  9. Support multiple Task Orders with IT solutions.

Experience, Skills, and Knowledge

  • BSc in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 10 years of relevant overall experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in project roles.
  • Minimum of 5 years of regional experience.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA, Cisco, Microsoft) preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of IT systems, networks (LAN & WAN), hardware, software, and licensing.
  • Experience with on-premise and cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
  • Experience deploying IT and networking systems across countries.
  • Proficiency in project management and documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills for software, hardware, and network issues.
  • Fluency in English; Arabic speaking is advantageous.
