Manor Hall International School is seeking a dynamic and innovative ICT (Information and Communication Technology) Teacher to join our team. As an ICT Teacher, you will play a key role in helping students develop essential digital literacy skills and an understanding of technology, which will prepare them for success in a technology-driven world. You will deliver engaging lessons that integrate technology into the curriculum, fostering critical thinking and problem-solving skills while encouraging creativity and collaboration.
The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of ICT concepts, a passion for teaching technology, and the ability to engage students in the effective and responsible use of digital tools.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging ICT lessons that align with the U.S. curriculum and promote digital literacy.
- Teach students about key concepts in computing, including coding, programming, hardware and software, internet safety, and the ethical use of technology.
- Integrate technology into other subjects and encourage students to use ICT tools for research, collaboration, and creative projects.
- Develop students' problem-solving, computational thinking, and digital skills through hands-on activities and projects.
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and assessments, providing feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Foster a safe and responsible digital learning environment by educating students on internet safety, cybersecurity, and online etiquette.
- Stay current with emerging technology trends and incorporate new tools and resources into lesson plans.
- Collaborate with other teachers to enhance cross-curricular integration of ICT and support digital learning across subjects.
- Communicate regularly with parents to update them on student progress and digital learning developments.

Specific qualifications required for this role:

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT, Computer Science, Education, or a related field.
- Diploma in Education or Teaching certification (or equivalent).
- Previous experience teaching ICT to students, ideally within the U.S. curriculum.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages, digital tools, and software applications.
- Passion for technology and its potential to enhance learning.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and classroom management skills.
- Ability to inspire students and encourage their creativity and critical thinking through the use of technology.
