The Role
The purpose of this role is to develop and deliver Ground Operations Learning and Development interventions for all areas of the company as determined by the Ground Operations Training Manager. To act as a role model for ground operations excellence in terms of actions, behaviour and appearance.
Accountabilities:
- Deliver training ensuring that staff are motivated and encouraged to exceed expectations by the training delivered.
- Ensure staff are fully skilled on the use of all systems and equipment.
- Ensure staff are fully aware of compliance policies and procedures for Air Arabia, Sharjah Aviation Services, Customer Airlines, and regulators' procedures.
- Properly brief staff on all changes to product and procedures.
- Coach staff at the place of work.
- Deliver adhoc training sessions on the shift rota and at the place of work as determined by the Ground Operations Training Manager.
- Explain procedures to ensure compliance with all relevant Health & Safety and company policy requirements.
- Work with the Ground Operations Training Manager to continually monitor and assess training materials, ensuring all changes in policy, operational requirements, and legislation are incorporated.
- Ensure all training is conducted to the highest standards, ensuring security, safety, and service standards are maintained.
- Provide accurate and comprehensive reporting as required.
- Communicate with relevant line managers to ensure maximum staff attendance for training.
- Monitor staff performance while on duty to ensure adherence to company policies and trained procedures.
- Ensure company uniform, PSE, and grooming standards are adhered to at all times.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Two years’ experience in the aviation ground services industry.
- Expertise in at least one aviation sector: cargo, ramp, dispatch, DGR, load control, etc.
- IATA or other relevant aviation qualifications.
- Experience in training within an aviation/ground operations environment.
- Excellent presentation and motivational skills to enhance staff performance and productivity.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in Hindi/Urdu is an advantage.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines.
