Sealy Mattress Middle East is actively seeking a skilled General Accountant to enhance our finance. This position you will be instrumental in supporting the company's financial operations by managing day-to-day accounting tasks, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting and maintaining compliance with accounting standards. This role is ideal for someone who is meticulous, has strong problem-solving abilities and is passionate about accounting.

Responsibilities
  • Manage all aspects of general ledger accounting including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance with standards.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable overseeing the preparation and distribution of invoices.
  • Conduct regular bank reconciliations and ensure all transactions are recorded accurately.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes to meet deadlines.
  • Prepare detailed documentation for audits and support external auditors with required reports.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure accurate and timely accounting practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
  • At least 4 years of experience in general accounting or a similar role.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and work as part of a team.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
