Job description

A Fire Command Center Operator for Conrad Dubai is responsible for planning, administration and management of fire safety and life safety programs throughout Conrad Dubai to ensure compliance with all applicable local and federal laws, regulations and standards concerning fire safety and life safety as well as applicable standards set by Hilton Worldwide.

What will I be doing

As a Fire Command Center Operator for Conrad Dubai you are responsible for the safety and security of all guests, team members, contractors and visitors while at the hotel. The Fire Command Center Operator also safeguards the hotel premises, supports assessment of overall fire safety and life safety performance in the hotel, completes formal and regular performance evaluations, and coordinates work activities. Specifically the Fire Command Center Operator will perform the following tasks at the highest level of service:

• Conducting regular inspections of fire safety systems e.g. fire alarm control panel, fire pumps, megaphone, eye wash station, kitchen suppression systems, exit door, fire extinguisher, fire blanket, etc.
• Maintaining logs, records and documentation of work activities e.g. dispatch, inventory logs, maintenance and repairs, updating fire book, training records, work permit records, incident reports, etc.
• Handling calls from other departments and guests and dispatching security officers
• Diagnosing basic faults in FLS control systems and reporting to FLS vendors
• Managing contractors and arranging planned preventive maintenance of FLS systems
• Conducting life safety equipment testing

• Previous Fire Command Center Operator experience, preferably in an industry that monitored large volumes of people movement
• Experience in planning, organising and enforcing security systems

• Excellent personal presentation
• It would be advantageous to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions: previous training experience with relevant qualifications
