Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE

A Data Entry Clerk, or Copy Typist, inputs data into systems and periodically creates reports based on the information. Their main duties include updating the company database, digitizing physical records and preparing periodic reports.

PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Enter the data for all the logistics operations and assist the function with any other help required for Data Entry
  • File, organize and manage the documents conforming to PepsiCo standards and in an orderly way
  • Compare data with source documents, or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors.
  • Compile, sort and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered.
  • Locate and correct data entry errors or report them to supervisors.
  • Maintain logs of activities and completed work.
  • Store/file completed documents in appropriate locations.
  • Transferring physical records into a digital filing system.
  • Retrieving data as requested.
  • Maintaining and updating the system as necessary
  • Generating periodic reports
