Job description

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and manage façade design development (curtain walls, cladding, skylights, glazing, steel & aluminium structures).
• Coordinate between consultants, architects, contractors, and fabrication teams to ensure design intent is achieved.
• Review and approve shop drawings, material submittals, and fabrication details.
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, international façade standards, and project specifications.
• Manage value engineering initiatives to optimize façade design and cost.
• Oversee design interface between structural, MEP, and architectural disciplines.
• Conduct design risk assessments related to façade and fabrication works.
• Lead a team of design engineers, draftsmen, and liaise with production/fabrication departments.
• Provide technical guidance during installation and construction phases.
• Ensure timely delivery of design packages aligned with project schedules.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Structural Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• 8–15 years of experience, with at least 5 years in façade & glass design management.
• Strong knowledge of curtain walls, glazing systems, aluminium & steel fabrication.
• Proficiency in design software (AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino, Tekla, SolidWorks, etc.).
• Strong understanding of façade performance criteria (thermal, acoustic, wind load, fire safety).
• Proven track record in managing design for high‑rise towers, airports, shopping malls, or mega façade projects.
• Excellent coordination, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
