AREA(S) OF RESPONSIBILITY
Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor a team of technical support specialists.
- Allocate tasks and set performance goals for team members.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback.
- Ensure Safety is implemented.
Technical Support
- Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of one of the following: Audio, Video, Lighting, AV Networks or Technical Operations.
- Troubleshoot technical issues in real-time, ensuring minimal disruption to live show & events and the daily operation.
- Collaborate with production and sales teams to meet technical requirements to ensure smooth operations of the park and shows and events under the management of Entertainment Technical.
- Able to handle challenging tasks.
Resource Management
- Ensuring that preventative maintenance is done In line with the maintenance management system
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers whilst following company guidelines
- Optimize resource allocation to maximize efficiency when setting up and running shows and events or the daily operation.
Quality Assurance
- Implement and enforce best practices for equipment setup, operation, and safety.
- Conduct quality checks to maintain high standards of audiovisual and technical production quality.
- Stay up to date with industry trends and technological advancements to enhance entertainment offerings and experiences.
Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain detailed records of event setups, issues and resolution logs for future reference.
Collaboration
- Work closely with Stage Managers, Directors, and creative teams to understand technical requirements and provide solutions.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative environment within the Entertainment Technical support team.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Essential
- Engineering or College diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in Audio Video Lighting, Show control & network Maintenance and operation.
- 1+ years’ Experience in installation of AVL systems including show control and network.
- The knowledge of operating of Entertainment shows systems and show control systems are a must.
- Keen interest in technology. Familiar with latest technologies and implementation.
- Proven ability in troubleshooting.
- Problem solving skills.
- Able to adhere to strict timelines.
- Clear understanding of both written and spoken English.
- Computer skills.
- Ability to understand one line drawings and schematics.
- Able to spend long hours standing if required.
- Possess a firm knowledge of installation tools and have the ability to use them.
- Ability to lift at least 25 kg.
- Ability to manage a large team of 30.
Desirable
- Technical training or certification in Audiovisual Technology, Electrical Engineering, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field Highly preferred.
- Certification in Qsys, Extron, Dante, Medialon, Christie projectors
- Previous experience in working within the amusement park industry is an advantage.
- Time served working on live shows and events
- Operated audio and lighting systems for live entertainment.
- Component repairs of audio, lighting, and video equipment.
- People person who works well alone and as part of a larger team.
- Self-motivated and wants to get the job done.
- Knowledge of show, automation, and digital signal processing is an advantage.
- Has system integration and design knowledge.
