Job description

We are seeking a competent and detail-oriented Electrical Engineer to join our UAE-based engineering team. The role will focus on the FEED Detailed Engineering and Detailed Design phases of offshore oil and gas projects in Saudi Arabia with preference given to candidates with Saudi Aramco offshore project experience.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Prepare and review electrical engineering deliverables including SLDs load lists equipment sizing calculations data sheets power distribution and protection systems.
  • Perform technical evaluations and selection of electrical equipment (transformers switchgear MCCs UPS lighting etc.).
  • Ensure all designs comply with Saudi Aramco standards international codes (IEC IEEE NEC) and project-specific specifications.
  • Carry out cable sizing voltage drop calculations and short-circuit analysis using relevant tools (e.g. ETAP SKM).
  • Develop and review engineering deliverables for FEED Detailed Engineering and Detailed Design phases.
  • Interface with multidisciplinary teams (instrumentation mechanical process civil/structural) to ensure complete and integrated engineering solutions.
  • Review vendor drawings and participate in FATs technical bid evaluations and vendor coordination.
  • Support design reviews HAZOPs model reviews and ensure timely resolution of technical queries.
  • Provide engineering support during procurement construction commissioning and handover phases as needed.
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 8-15 years of experience in electrical engineering for offshore oil and gas projects.
  • Saudi Aramco offshore project experience is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of offshore electrical systems including power distribution grounding lighting and hazardous area classification.
  • Proficient in engineering software such as ETAP SKM and other relevant tools.
  • Knowledge of SmartPlant tools (SPEL S3D) or other 3D model review platforms is an advantage.
  • Excellent technical writing communication and team coordination skills.
