A reputable construction firm is seeking a detail-oriented Document Controller in Sharjah, UAE, to manage and control project documentation. The ideal candidate should possess at least 5 years of experience in the UAE construction industry, be skilled in Aconex and Google Workspace, and have strong organizational abilities to ensure timely document flow. Responsibilities include maintaining the Master Document Register, managing document distribution, and ensuring compliance with project standards.

Al Marwan Developments is looking for a detail-oriented and highly organized Document Controller to manage, track, and control all project-related documentation within the Projects/Project Administration division. The role requires strong experience in UAE construction documentation, excellent coordination skills, and the ability to work with multiple project teams to ensure timely and accurate document flow.
The key duties and responsibilities of the Document Controller include, but are not limited to:
Maintain and update the Master Document Register (MDR) for drawings, RFIs, submittals, and all project documentation.
Manage and administer EDMS platforms such as Google Drive, Aconex, Procore, or similar systems for document distribution and tracking.
Ensure all documents comply with project standards for formatting, numbering, and version control.
Distribute updated “Issued for Construction” (IFC) drawings and documents to site teams and subcontractors.
Track document submissions, approvals, and revisions to ensure compliance with project workflows.
Coordinate preparation and final handover of “As-Built” documentation packages to clients.
Maintain organized digital and physical archives for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
Support project teams with document-related queries and administrative tasks as needed.
Minimum 5 years of experience in document control within the UAE construction industry.
Strong hands‑on experience with Aconex and Google Workspace (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.).
Knowledge of local authority requirements and documentation standards (e.g., Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi authorities).
Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict submission deadlines.
Strong communication skills and ability to coordinate across multiple teams and stakeholders.
