Job description

As a Director of People Partnering - Grocery & Retail, this role involves partnering closely with stakeholders and supporting their organizational needs. The position encompasses both operational and creative aspects, with new initiatives emerging regularly.

We are seeking someone who is flexible, creative, and resourceful. You will have the autonomy to make things happen while partnering with the Chief Retail Officer and leadership team to develop and implement people strategies across seven countries, aligning stakeholders with People initiatives.

Scope
  • Support the entire Grocery & Retail business across eight countries, focusing on end-to-end experiences through strong business acumen and a data-driven mindset.
  • Countries supported include: UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Qatar, Bahrain, Oman, Jordan.
Data Driven Mindset
  • Monitor health metrics across supported countries by working closely with leadership teams and Market Leads.
  • Country Health: Use tools like Peakon and Tableau to identify risks and propose solutions, evaluating culture, mindset, and environment.
  • Environment Health: Analyze acquisition, retention, and compensation metrics; collaborate on solutions to improve retention and adapt pay structures as needed.
  • Culture & Mindset: Ensure leadership embodies organizational values and integrates them into hiring, performance, and operational practices.
Experience
  • Experience Optimization: Identify experience gaps and collaborate to bridge them.
  • Change Management: Develop and implement change strategies, support integration projects, and mentor other People Partners.
  • Talent Gaps: Anticipate long-term talent needs and develop hiring plans aligned with business priorities.
  • Growth & Development: Work on leadership development, succession planning, and coaching.
Business Acumen
  • Understand market visions, OKRs, and collaborate to align People & Culture objectives with country goals.
