This position reports to:

Sales Manager

In this role, you will be responsible for the sales of ABB's measurement and analytical products, systems, and services within a designated market or division, aligned with the division strategy. Your daily activities will include achieving qualitative and quantitative sales targets to ensure sustainable order growth, revenues, profitability, market share, and customer satisfaction. You will identify and develop new sales opportunities, showcasing your expertise.

ABB's measurement and analytical portfolio offers world-class solutions across industries, utilities, and municipalities, with products designed for easy configuration, integration, and maintenance. Our smart instrumentation analyzers and digital tools support customers in meeting sustainability goals through accurate and reliable measurement. Our comprehensive offerings include gas quality analyzers, leak detection systems, flow computers, and asset performance management tools, supporting safe, efficient, and sustainable natural gas operations across the entire value chain.

This role contributes to the Measurement & Analytics business area, reporting directly to the Sales Manager UAE Cluster. Key stakeholders include customers across Water & Waste Water, Process Industries, O&G, channel partners, and internal teams within ABB divisions.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Meeting or exceeding sales targets based on defined objectives.
  2. Identifying and pursuing new sales opportunities, maintaining relationships with existing customers and channel partners, and developing new accounts.
  3. Reporting sales forecasts regularly and updating the sales pipeline.
  4. Having product knowledge in instrumentation and analytical solutions, and explaining their benefits and applications to customers.
  5. Supporting channel partner relationships and business plans, and developing new channels to market.
  6. Monitoring market trends, competitor activities, and customer needs to adapt sales strategies accordingly.
  7. Collaborating within own and other divisions as part of teamwork, and supporting the sales team technically on the CWA portfolio.
  8. Negotiating sales agreements and closing deals.
  9. Developing new accounts and maintaining relationships with existing customers and channel partners.
  10. Collaborating across divisions to achieve team goals.

Qualifications:

  • Strong skills in sales methodologies, instrumentation, and analytical markets, with a focus on water and wastewater projects.
  • 7-10 years of experience in instrumentation and analytical sales, specifically in the Middle East region.
  • Established skills working with ABB's measurement and analytical products, with a specialty in liquid analyzers.
  • Technical ability to apply knowledge to customer solutions within process industries.
  • Passionate about customer relationship management and business development strategies.
  • Degree in Engineering, Electrical, Electronics, or Instrumentation.
  • Fluent in English; Arabic speaking is an advantage.
  • No restrictions to work in the UAE and oversight countries.
