Job summary

A leading recruitment consultancy in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Credit Manager responsible for overseeing credit management and leading the credit control team. The ideal candidate has experience in the GCC, a degree in Accounting, and excellent knowledge of receivables and payables. This role requires strong leadership skills to achieve collections targets while maintaining effective client relationships. Travel may be required to various locations including Nigeria and Yemen. Competitive compensation is offered.

Job description

The Credit Manager is responsible for overseeing the credit management of the organisation and the management of the credit control team.

Responsibilities

• Leading and motivating the credit control team in order to achieve collections targets.
• Overseeing the effective collection of company debt
• Monthly reporting of the Key Performance Indicators for the department.
• Managing relationships with the clients in order to reduce exposure to potential bad debt.
• Implementation and maintenance of a set of comprehensive Credit Risk Policies and Procedures.
• Introduce and evolve effective reporting and assessment tools to minimise risk and proactively identify problem areas and customers.
• Preparation of weekly cash forecasts including customer collections.
• Reporting to the financial controller on a monthly basis on outstanding accounts.

Qualifications

• Must have experience in GCC
• Preferably degree holder in Accounting
• Excellent knowledge of Accounts Receivables & Accounts Payable
• Candidate must have flexible schedule and ability to handle multiple task
• Must be willing to travel for example, Yemen, Nigeria, Afghanistan, Qatar, Abu Dhabi, France ( Yemen once every 3 months, the other 2 Countries perhaps once every 6 months, to be seen ).
• Must be a results oriented , enthusiastic & a team player
• Excellent verbal & written communication skills
• Preferable to speak English, and French
• Must be able to work autonomously, and self-motivated.
• Good understanding of balance sheet analysis, credit risk, financial exposure and setting credit limits.
