About GAC Marine LLC

GAC Marine operates from our fully equipped marine base in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Our comprehensive offshore marine support includes anchor handling, project cargo transportation, platform supply, crew changes and supplies, as well as rig moves and tug & barge operations. Operations are supported by our growing fleet of anchor handling tug supply vessels, anchor handling tugs, crew boats, tow tugs, and barges.

Our expert crew, maintenance and other land-based staff are at hand to facilitate short turn-around times for class surveys, repairs, and maintenance.

GAC Marine is looking for the right person to join our team as the Commercial Specialist. The Commercial Specialist will support the commercial team of GAC Marine by providing effective commercial support, help with contract tendering, support with proposals, data analytics, CRM management and frequent customer engagements. This role involves a deep understanding of technological commercial toolkits and business intelligence analytics (CRM, AI, etc.).

Job Description
  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) - Accountable for the management of the CRM platform. Can utilize data generated from CRM platform to develop analysis, dashboards and creating reports related to pricing, business opportunities and market trends for informed commercial decisions to be made.
  • Commercial Project Management - Project management of vessel timelines and availability versus market opportunities and customer requirements. Prepare and execute to finalization all commercial and marketing presentations for internal, external, and tender proposals as directed by the Commercial Director.
  • Contract & Tender Management - Responsible for compiling initial tender information that will be used for project proposals.
  • Tender Business Analysis – Supporting with financial models for all projects and tenders. Coordination with different departments and customers to understand project requirements.
  • Commercial Technological Deployment - Supporting and managing various technological tools for communicating, visualizing and sharing commercially focused information for internal utilization and for decision making. To include Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools as appropriate, Microsoft applications and any CRM toolkit being utilized by GAC Marine.
Job requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in business management / commercial / marketing / economics.
  • In depth commercial knowledge of the GCC marine sector or oil and gas offshore sector.
  • Chartering knowledge experience with offshore and/ or towage vessels.
  • Technological knowledge of deployment of CRM dashboard, building business cases, pricing analysis and AI tools.
  • Full professional proficiency in English
  • Ability to build relationships internally and externally
  • MS Office. At all levels.
  • CRM platforms a perquisite.
  • 5 – 8 years’ experience in the commercial function of a maritime/ marine services operator.
  • Experience continuously engaging with maritime clients.
  • Proven experience utilizing technology for commercial decisions.
