Marriott Hotels Resorts seeks a dedicated technical support professional to troubleshoot and resolve software and systems issues. The ideal candidate will have a technical degree and experience in user support. Responsibilities include managing telecommunications and training staff, ensuring efficient operational processes while fostering a collaborative team environment.
POSITION SUMMARY
Troubleshoot and resolve technical problems related to computer software and systems. Provide technical guidance and recommendations to resolve business issues. Analyze, recommend, and implement process improvements. Enter commands and activate controls on computer and peripheral equipment to operate equipment. Troubleshoot, modify, support, manage, and maintain applications, programs, and user accounts. Maintain records of daily data communication transactions, problems, remedial actions, or installation activities. Train users in hardware or software usage. Manage planning, design, operations, maintenance, and resource allocation of telecommunications, including client/server support and strategic planning. Advise on policies, procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods related to telecommunications.
Assist management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees; serve as a role model and first contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy. Develop and maintain positive working relationships, support team goals, and respond to employee concerns. Follow all company policies and protect company assets. Communicate clearly and professionally. Ensure quality standards are met; identify and implement ways to improve organizational efficiency, productivity, safety, and cost savings. Verify information visually. Use computers/POS systems to enter and locate data. Lift, carry, push, pull, and move objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance. Perform other duties as assigned by supervisors.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Technical, trade, or vocational school degree.
Work Experience: At least 2 years of related experience.
Supervisory Experience: None required.
License/Certifications: None.
