Job summary

A leading engineering company in Dubai is seeking a skilled Civil/Structural Draftsman with a diploma in Civil/Structural Drafting and at least 5 years of experience in large-scale building projects in the UAE/GCC. The ideal candidate will be proficient in AutoCAD and have a strong understanding of civil works excavation and coordination between steel and concrete structures. The role involves preparing detailed drawings, supporting early construction phases, and ensuring compliance with project specifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil/Structural Draftsman in the UAE/GCC.
• Experience in large-scale building projects.
• Ability to work under tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed civil and structural drawings.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams for accurate delivery.

Skills

Proficient in AutoCAD

Knowledge of BIM/Revit

Responsibilities

• Prepare and develop detailed civil and structural drawings including early works such as:
  • Site facilities layouts
  • Excavation drawings
  • Temporary shoring works
• Support design and drafting activities during the early construction phases.
• Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure accurate and timely delivery of drawings.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, standards and guidelines.
• Assist in resolving design and drafting issues during coordination between steel and concrete structures.
• Maintain proper documentation and ensure revisions are tracked and updated.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Technical Certification in Civil/Structural Drafting or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Civil/Structural Draftsman, preferably in large-scale building projects in the UAE/GCC.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other drafting software; knowledge of BIM/Revit is an advantage.
• Strong understanding of civil works excavation and temporary shoring systems.
• Experience in civil works and structural coordination.
• Experience in complex projects involving large basements and steel-concrete interface coordination.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
