Chef de Partie

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Chef de Partie to join our culinary team specializing in Asian cuisine. As CDP you will manage a specific section of the kitchen (e.g. wok, dim sum, sushi, grill, noodles) and ensure high standards of preparation, presentation, and consistency across all dishes.

What you will be doing:
  • Actively share ideas, opinions, and suggestions to improve the environment and menus.
  • Ensure the consistency in the preparation of all food items for a la carte and/or buffet menus according to property recipes and standards.
  • Communicate effectively with the rest of the team and thrive for guest feedback.
  • Oversee food preparation and production for your assigned section.
  • Ensure proper mise en place maintain freshness and quality of all ingredients.
  • Prepare dishes following traditional and modern Asian recipes with authenticity and flair.
  • Collaborate with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to plan menus and specials.
  • Train and supervise junior staff and commis chefs in your station.
  • Ensure compliance with health hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.
Qualifications:
  • Should have at least 2 years experience as CDP for Ala Carte Restaurants.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment with high volume of guests.
  • Should have expertise in Asian cuisine.
  • Should have culinary education background and culinary qualifications.
  • Ability to work cohesively and collectively as part of a team.
  • Strong background in Asian cuisine e.g. Chinese, Japanese, Thai, Korean or Southeast Asian.
  • Excellent knife skills and familiarity with traditional Asian cooking techniques (e.g. wok cooking, sushi rolling, steaming, fermentation).
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast paced high volume environment.
  • Team player with leadership potential and good communication skills.
