Essential Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and diagnostic procedures to determine the best surgical strategies for patients with heart conditions.
- Perform high‑level cardiac surgical procedures, including coronary bypass surgeries, heart valve surgeries, and other interventions to treat heart diseases.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team consisting of cardiologists, anesthesiologists, and healthcare providers to create and execute effective treatment plans.
- Manage preoperative and postoperative care for patients, ensuring they receive complete support for optimal recovery.
- Educate patients and their families about surgical options, risks, and recovery protocols to facilitate informed decision‑making.
- Engage in clinical research and remain informed about emerging techniques and technologies in cardiac surgery.
- Maintain meticulous records of surgical procedures and patient interactions in accordance with medical regulations and standards.
Qualifications and Skills
- M.D. or D.O. from an accredited institution.
- Completion of General Surgery residency and a fellowship in Cardiac Surgery.
- Board certification in Cardiac Surgery is mandatory.
- Minimum of 5 years' experience in performing cardiac surgeries in a clinical setting.
- Demonstrated expertise in various advanced cardiac surgical techniques.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to ensure effective patient and family interactions.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and make critical decisions swiftly.
- Valid medical license allowing practice in the state of employment.
