Job summary

A global project management firm based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a qualified candidate for a BIM Specialist role. The position involves developing CAD drawings, managing CAD files, and auditing BIM model information. Required qualifications include a diploma in civil engineering, over 7 years of CAD and BIM experience, and proficiency in Civil 3D, Autodesk Infraworks, and AutoCAD. The ideal candidate will demonstrate effective communication and teamwork skills under pressure.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in CAD drafting and BIM modelling.
• Preferably, experience in infrastructure projects.
• Must have experience with ISO 19650.

Responsibilities

• Support the development of the information model or CAD drawings.
• Manage a central database for all models or CAD files.
• Review models and CAD drawings for design/construction issues.
• Provide direct support to the project team for visualization.
• Ensure reliability of BIM model information and CAD files.
• Regularly audit and validate information for robustness.

Job description

General Description of Role and Responsibilities:

• Responsible for support and Develop constituent parts of the information Model or CAD drawings in connection with specific tasks and production of project outputs.
• Create, maintain, and manage a single point central database that hosts all models or CAD files.
• Review models and CAD drawings with the contractors and consultants in order to highlight if any design/ Construction issues.
• Provide direct support to the project team in extracting information from the model, CAD files or for visualization purposes.
• Enforce reliability of the BIM Models information and CAD files so that it is an accurate representation.
• Regularly audit, integration and validate information to ensure BIM model and CAD files is robust and achieve client requirement.
• Ensure LOIN delivered in the models are as per deliverables requirements of the relevant stage of the project.
• Manage model updates.
• Coordinate submission and exchange of Models.
• Provide clash detection.
• Support and participate in record lesson learned and sharing with the relative parties.
• Support and participate in identify and classify any risks related to BIM and their mitigation strategy.
• Ensure the Hill International BIM management system is maintained and followed.
• Attend and provide support during coordination meetings with consultants.
• Informs themselves of the relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals and Procedures in place within Hill International and ensures continued compliance with these requirements while employed by Hill.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor including occasional drafting work in support of PMC activities.
