• The Executive Pastry Chef performs the daily execution of all assigned Pastry food production and service while establishing and maintaining standards of operation in food quality, timeliness, cleanliness, and maintenance.
• Responsible for all prepared pastry and food stocks, including dry stores, replenishing as necessary, and informing the Executive Chef of shortages.
• Familiar with food suppliers, their products, and placing orders based on business demand.
• Supervise the smooth and efficient service and production of food by liaising with other departments and restaurant staff, ensuring all work is completed prior to service.
• Train new staff members in the department.
• Promote the safe use of kitchen equipment and adherence to health and safety regulations.
• Ensure all food controls and temperature logs are maintained and followed.
• Maintain standards of food preparation and presentation.
• Complete all required paperwork according to company and government guidelines.
• Attend necessary training sessions.
• Monitor staff punctuality and follow up as needed.
• Ensure hygienic and productive work practices among staff.
• Prevent pilferage from dry stores and refrigeration.
• Control wastage by maintaining proper stock levels and rotation.
• Assist in managing food costs within budget guidelines.
• Maintain and update section files and recipes.
• Ensure quality control of all food prepared and cooked.
• Keep main cool rooms tidy and clean after each service for ordering purposes.
• Ensure health marks are collected and correctly documented.

• One to two years of experience in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel.
• Proficiency in computer and point of sale systems.
• Gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with high attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills in English, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and foster teamwork.
