Overview
The Beverage Manager is responsible for leading and managing the beverage operations across all outlets at SO/ Ras Al Khaimah, ensuring a bold, stylish, and innovative guest experience in line with the SO/ brand. This role oversees beverage menus, service standards, supplier relations, and staff training while driving profitability and creativity in the beverage program.
Responsibilities
- Beverage Operations: Oversee day-to-day beverage service across restaurants, lounges, bars, and events.
- Develop and update beverage menus, ensuring alignment with brand standards and market trends.
- Ensure consistent delivery of premium guest experiences through innovative beverage offerings.
- Financial & Cost Control: Manage beverage cost, inventory, and wastage in line with budget and financial goals.
- Work closely with procurement and suppliers to source high-quality products at competitive prices.
- Monitor and analyze sales performance, preparing regular reports and recommendations.
- Team Leadership & Training: Lead, coach, and inspire bartenders and beverage staff to deliver exceptional service.
- Design and implement training programs on mixology, wine knowledge, and service etiquette.
- Promote a culture of creativity, innovation, and collaboration within the team.
- Guest Experience & Innovation: Create signature cocktails and beverage concepts that enhance the lifestyle positioning of SO/.
- Engage with guests, receive feedback, and continuously refine beverage offerings.
- Collaborate with the culinary and entertainment teams to develop unique pairings and event activations.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure compliance with all local licensing laws and health & safety standards.
- Maintain brand consistency in presentation, service, and guest interaction.
- Uphold HACCP and hygiene regulations in all beverage storage and service areas.
Qualifications
- Degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or related field.
- 4–6 years of progressive experience in beverage management, ideally in luxury hotels or lifestyle resorts.
- Strong knowledge of wines, spirits, cocktails, and non-alcoholic beverage trends.
- Proven track record in managing costs, inventory, and supplier negotiations.
- Exceptional leadership, training, and team-building skills.
- Creative flair with an eye for detail and passion for guest satisfaction.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; fluent English required (additional languages an advantage).
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
