Job description

We are looking for an Audio Engineer and Technician to join our Technical Department in Dubai, UAE. This position will be based at our office in Jebel Ali, Dubai. Accommodation included.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for technical concepts, seasoned experience in an Audio role, experience with Audio systems, networks and consoles, exceptional problem‑solving skills, and excellent communication and organizational abilities. As a Senior Audio Engineer / Technician in the team, you will play a crucial role in managing Audio systems and ensuring flawless audio experiences for clients and guests at events.

Requirements
  • Must have a positive can‑do attitude. We’re looking for someone who is used to, and thrives, in a busy environment where project goals can shift and evolve.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in an Audio role, preferably working on mid to large‑scale events.
  • Experience in the UAE is a bonus but not essential.
  • Experience working and operating on mid‑size to large scale specials events, concert and the corporate event environments.
  • Computer skills, including all Microsoft Office applications is essential.
  • Experience with at least 1x brand of Audio console or system (ie: Yamaha / Digico / Midas / L’Acoustics / D&B)
  • Proficiency in Sketchup, Autocad, and Vectorworks is desired, although training can be provided.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to effectively interact with team members, clients, and external stakeholders.
  • Methodical and analytical approach to work with good fault‑finding skills.
  • Ability to cope well under pressure and capable of working to deadlines.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Self‑motivated and able to work under own initiative as well as part of a team.
  • Reliable with good time keeping record and committed to personal development.
  • Actively demonstrate and promote safe working methods / safe lifting practices.

Responsibilities
  • Specify and manage audio components for upcoming events.
  • Work as part of the team in the design, preparation, installation and operation of all audio equipment.
  • Assist the department with pitches and quotations, providing technical expertise and recommendations.
  • Control and maintain Brand Elevations audio assets, ensuring their proper function and maintenance.
  • Maintaining and updating technical documentation regularly.
  • Ensure equipment software is current and licenses are obtained as required.
  • Ensure an acceptable working pace is maintained in the department.
  • Identify common faults within the prep process and report to the stakeholders.
  • Testing new and repaired hardware and software before full‑scale installation.
  • Rig and de‑rig equipment, ensuring systems are correctly set up for use.
  • Program and operate audio systems, creating the optimum audio coverage and experience for events.
  • Collaborate and liaise with third parties and/or other departments involved in event production.
  • Inform the stakeholders of any shortages of equipment / consumables for forthcoming jobs.
  • Support the department with routine maintenance and repair of equipment where needed.
  • Ensure the Company’s quality standards are maintained at all times.
  • Keep up to date with the latest technology within the department.
  • Ensure all equipment your job profile is responsible for is ready to work as it is required to during the event and undertake a responsibility for show operating.
  • Faulty / Damaged equipment to be clearly marked and stakeholders notified of this at the earliest opportunity.
  • Support the warehouse team with routine maintenance to ensure the equipment is kept in a good, safe and efficient working condition.
  • Attend production and site meetings as required.
