Job description

An Assistant Housing Manager is responsible for assisting in overseeing and directing all aspects of the staff accommodation operation under the general guidance and supervision of the Human Resources department. The Assistant Housing Manager ensures that all team members living in staff accommodation receive high-quality, responsive housing management services in a safe and secure environment, including providing support where necessary. They will monitor maintenance and facilities issues of the staff accommodation to deliver an excellent staff experience while assisting with employee relations.



What will I be doing?

As an Assistant Housing Manager, you will assist in overseeing and directing all aspects of the staff accommodation operation under the guidance of the Human Resources department. You will be responsible for ensuring team members receive high-quality housing management services, monitoring maintenance and facilities, and supporting employee relations. Specific tasks include:

  • Distributing, delegating, and directing workload to ensure maximum productivity and team satisfaction with minimal expenses. Conducting one-to-one and performance development reviews, coaching, and counseling team members as needed. Ensuring all matters related to staff housing comply with the staff house accommodation policy.
  • Assisting in social activities and providing ongoing support to meet project timelines.
  • Participating in hiring and training accommodation team members, and conducting staff and departmental meetings.
  • Attending relevant meetings to gather and disseminate information, including handling housing-related complaints.
  • Assisting the HR Manager with the preparation of annual budgets and monthly forecasts, and monitoring budget control throughout the year.
  • Providing accurate information to incoming employees, greeting internal and external customers professionally, and handling requests efficiently.
  • Maintaining accurate reports of staff house allocations.
  • Creating and distributing flyers, memos, and newsletters as assigned.
