We are recruiting for our client, a renowned and long-established brand in the Wine & Spirits industry in the UAE, for the position of Area Manager – Travel Retail based in Dubai.
The role is responsible for driving sales performance, securing new product listings, and maximizing brand visibility across Duty Free outlets. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in travel retail, excellent commercial acumen, and the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships while effectively executing sales and marketing strategies
Salary- 20,000 AED+ Incentives
Key Deliverables-
Sales
- Actively seek new product listings in Duty Free outlets for Priority Brands.
- Maximize visibility and floor/shelf space for company products.
- Collaborate closely with Duty Free Purchasing Teams and Shop Managers to drive order volumes.
- Focus on sales of Priority Brands and ensure optimal distribution to support company profitability.
- Identify customer segments within Duty Free outlets and develop targeted sales strategies for each segment, leveraging technology and data insights.
- Communicate upcoming product launches promptly and work to secure maximum listings in outlets.
- Review customer orders and guide the SOP team to maximize sales through replacements and back-order recovery.
Customer Relationship Management
- Conduct regular customer visits and meet key influencers with clear agendas and defined outcomes.
- Manage product- and price-related issues to strengthen client relationships while balancing commercial requirements, in coordination with Finance and Customer Service teams.
- Collaborate with other travel retail customers to enhance visibility and sales of company brands.
- Ensure all sales activities comply with local laws and established company guidelines.
- Work cohesively within the team to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Implementation of Marketing Plans
- Execute promotional and marketing plans, including consumer activities, to enhance brand visibility and equity in outlets.
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to agreed merchandising standards.
- Collaborate with outlets to efficiently utilize all available merchandise and POS materials.
- Gather market intelligence on promotions, product sales, new listings, etc., and provide monthly feedback and account reports.
Other Responsibilities
- Collect due payments within agreed timelines in line with company financial guidelines.
- Monitor market developments and provide timely feedback.
- Maintain and update detailed customer records, including key personnel, profiles, meeting minutes, sales histories, agreements, and correspondence.
- Support in organizing and managing brand owner visits and meetings.

Qualifications and Experience
- University graduate.
- 3–5 years of proven sales experience, preferably within the travel retail industry, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in the Food & Beverage product category.
- Strong understanding of commercial operating principles, business practices, and procedures.
