Job summary

A leading transportation company based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a Business Performance Analyst for its EVCI & H2 operations. The role involves conducting market research, performance management, and business development initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and at least 10 years of relevant experience, including 4 years in the EV industry. Strong analytical skills and project management experience are essential, coupled with excellent interpersonal abilities.

About the Job

The Business Performance Analyst (Operations (EVCI & H2)) is entrusted with contributing to the development and execution of business performance management frameworks specific to the EVCI and H2 operations department. This role involves in‑depth market research, the analysis of industry trends, and competitive assessments to provide strategic input for the department’s business development. The analyst identifies and tracks key performance indicators, offering insightful recommendations to enhance both operational and financial efficiency.

The analyst will deliver comprehensive performance reports while adhering to all relevant standards and regulations. Additionally, the role necessitates the cultivation of relationships with stakeholders and ongoing professional development in industry knowledge and technological advancements.

Budgeting and Financial Planning
  • Support the preparation and review of the EVCI & H2 Operations department budget and forecasts to ensure alignment with corporate financial planning processes.
  • Monitor actual EVCI & H2 operations expenditure against the approved budget and assist in budgeting and forecasting activities.
Market Research and Business Development
  • Conduct market research and analysis to identify and assess potential technology partners and alliances that align with the EVCI & H2 operational department’s vision, mission, and objectives.
  • Support the negotiation and contracting process with prospective and existing digital partners (for operations), ensuring compliance with ADNOC Distribution’s policies and procedures.
  • Identify and pursue new opportunities and initiatives to enhance the value and impact of EVCI & H2 solutions for ADNOC Distribution and its partners and alliances.
Project Coordination, Performance Management and Analysis
  • Support the development and implementation of the business performance management framework for the EVCI & H2 operations department, in alignment with corporate strategy and objectives.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, as well as internal stakeholders across various functions and levels.
  • Analyse and report on the operational and financial performance of the department using tools like dashboards, scorecards, benchmarks, and business cases.
  • Identify and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and monitor their progress against plans and targets.
  • Provide insights and recommendations on performance gaps and opportunities, proposing actions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness of the EVCI & H2 network.
  • Collect, validate, and analyze data from various sources to measure and report on departmental performance.
  • Prepare and present periodic and ad hoc reports and dashboards to communicate performance results, trends, and risks.
  • Conduct benchmarking and best practice research to identify improvement opportunities for the department’s operations.
Coordination and Collaboration
  • Coordinate with other departments within ADNOC Distribution and ADNOC Group, as well as external partners and vendors, to align and integrate business performance management activities.
  • Work closely with IT and data management teams to ensure the reliability of operational & performance data systems in CPMS (& any other).
  • Engage with external consultants and industry experts to benchmark and adopt best practices in performance management.
Compliance and Quality Assurance
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, standards, and regulations within performance management processes.
  • Maintain high standards of quality, health, safety, and environment in all performance management activities.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews of performance management processes to ensure continuous improvement. Implement corrective actions to address any identified non‑compliance issues.
Stakeholder Engagement
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, acting as a point of contact for business performance‑related matters.
  • Engage with industry associations and forums to stay updated on industry developments and trends.
  • Provide support and guidance to stakeholders on performance management tools and methodologies.
Continuous Improvement and Development
  • Support the development and implementation of departmental objectives, policies, and procedures to drive performance excellence.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and innovation within performance management activities.
Minimum Requirements

Bachelor’s in electrical engineering or in any related discipline.

  • 10 years of experience in engineering / technical services, of which 4 years’ experience in the EV or EV charging industry.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the EVCI and H2 industry, market, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in using various business performance management tools and methodologies, such as dashboards, scorecards, benchmarks, and business cases.
  • In‑depth knowledge of international and local standards, policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex data and information.
  • Experience in Charge Point Operations will be an asset.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with different levels of stakeholders.
  • High level of initiative, creativity, and innovation, with the ability to drive continuous improvement and change.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Experience in Project Management or having PMP Certification
