As an Accounting Intern, your role will be a full function position where you will gain experience supporting regional operations. You will be taking an important step in your career by joining a dynamic work environment and a cohesive team. This is a hands on role focused on operations, financial accounting, cash management, fixed asset management, and month end reporting.

Responsibilities
  • Handle daily cash transactions accurately, maintain records, and ensure risk minimizing processes are in place.
  • Maintain up to date customer records in real time on the Finance ERP.
  • Collect documentation and perform checks on customer transactions prior to payment release.
  • Upload payments to the online portal for processing.
  • Review and record expense invoices; prepare and post sales invoices to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
  • Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliations; investigate and resolve variances and discrepancies.
  • Assist with closing activities and posting transactions to ledgers.
  • Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Contribute to internal process enhancements and support finance projects.
  • Provide backup support to team members and assist with ad‑hoc duties and new finance related projects (e.g., Mobile Phones project).
  • Ability to contribute to a platform used by more than 5M users in UAE and other platforms in the region.

Qualifications
  • Degree in accounting, finance or a related field.
  • Experience with ERP systems; familiarity with SAGE and PO software is a plus.
  • Understanding of UAE VAT is beneficial.
  • Solid grasp of accounting, bookkeeping, and expense recognition principles.
  • Proficient in Excel (intermediate to advanced).
  • Detail-oriented, organized, and systematic.
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills.
  • Capable of preparing reports and presenting to management.
  • Proactive, action-oriented, and deadline-driven.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal and influencing skills.
  • Able to prioritize tasks and work independently.
