Job summary

A leading education institution in Abu Dhabi is seeking an experienced accountant to manage financial records, prepare financial statements, and ensure compliance with local tax regulations. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of relevant experience and hands-on skills in bookkeeping, VAT filing, and payroll processing. A bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required, along with any professional accounting certification being advantageous. Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Hands-on experience in bookkeeping, financial reporting, VAT filing, and payroll processing.
• Experience with corporate tax compliance is required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Coordinate and facilitate external audits.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns in compliance with local tax regulations.
• Manage payroll processing activities and ensure timely disbursement of salaries.
• Assist in the preparation of financial projections and budgets.
• Process payments to vendors and suppliers.
• Close books within 7 working days of the next month.
• Prepare timely invoices to customers.
• Maintain books to adhere to corporate tax compliance.
