Job summary

A leading finance firm in Dubai is seeking an experienced Accountant knowledgeable in UAE VAT & Corporate Tax laws. The ideal candidate will have over 3 years of experience in accounting in the UAE, capable of handling VAT returns and ensuring compliance with the latest tax regulations. Proficiency in ERP systems and fluency in Arabic are preferred. This on-site role involves managing financial operations and liaising with auditors to ensure complete adherence to local laws.

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of accounting experience inside the UAE.
  • Practical experience filing VAT Returns (FTA).
  • Strong understanding of UAE VAT laws and Federal Tax Authority portals.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily financial operations and compliance with UAE tax regulations.
  • Handle Quarterly VAT returns and assist with Corporate Tax assessments.
  • Manage invoicing and reconcile bank statements.

  • Must have: 3+ Years of accounting experience inside the UAE.
  • Must have: Practical experience filing VAT Returns (FTA).
  • Preferred: Fluent Arabic Speaker.

About the Role: We are hiring a detail-oriented Accountant for our Dubai office. You will manage daily financial operations and ensure full compliance with the latest UAE tax regulations, including the new Corporate Tax laws.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Financial Reporting: Manage General Ledger, P&L, and Balance Sheet reconciliations.
  • Tax Compliance: Handle Quarterly VAT returns and assist with Corporate Tax impact assessments.
  • Payables & Receivables: Manage invoicing, follow up on client payments, and reconcile bank statements.
  • Audit: Liaise with external auditors and banks.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. (CPA/ACCA/CMA is a plus).
  • Tax Knowledge: Strong understanding of UAE VAT laws and Federal Tax Authority (FTA) portals.
  • Software: Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g., Odoo, SAP, Oracle) or Quickbooks/Xero.
  • Language: Fluent English is required; Arabic is strongly preferred.
