Job summary
A leading retail company in South Africa is seeking a motivated Inventory Manager to oversee stock management and lead a dedicated team at their Distribution Center. This role requires 3-5 years of experience in warehousing, strong knowledge of warehouse management systems, and managerial FMCG inventory experience. Ideal candidates should have exceptional time management skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehousing or distribution center operations.
- Proficient in working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
- Managerial inventory experience within FMCG is non-negotiable.
Responsibilities
- Ensure system stock and physical stock is aligned.
- Manage periodic cycle counts and full stock counts within designated time frame.
- Monitor aging stock and manage warehouse capacity.

Boxer Superstores, a leading retail company, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as an Inventory Manager, to be based at our Distribution Center in Imonti, Eastern Cape. This position offers an exciting opportunity to oversee the management of stock, monitor warehouse capacity, and effectively lead a team of dedicated staff members. If you have a passion for logistics, stock management, and team leadership, this could be the perfect role for you. The role requires someone with managerial FMCG inventory experience.
- Ensure system stock and physical stock is aligned
- Manage periodic cycle counts and full stock counts within designated time frame
- Analyse stock movements
- Ensure replenishment of pick face
- Monitor continuous pick face let downs
- Manage stock right offs to a minimum
- Monitor aging stock
- Monitor short dated stock
- Manage warehouse capacity
- Confirming empty bins status
- 100% adherence to SOPs
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in warehousing or distribution center operations
- Proficient in working with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
- Knowledge of Bomm system will be advantageous
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- A relevant supply chain diploma/degree would be beneficial
- Managerial inventory experience within FMCG is non-negotiable
- Deadline-driven with exceptional time management skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and some management experience
