Overview

A leading property and hospitality management company is looking for an experienced Hotel / House Manager with strong experience in hotel or hospitality operations, facilities management, and guest services to join their team in Brooklyn, Pretoria . The ideal candidate will oversee the daily operations of a premium student residence designed to function to the standards of a high-end hotel. This role blends elements of hotel management, property operations, and resident relations to deliver an exceptional living experience.

Responsibilities

Serve as the first point of contact for all resident inquiries, concerns, and requests. Foster a professional, welcoming, and supportive living environment. Conduct regular inspections to monitor cleanliness, safety, and maintenance. Oversee and coordinate maintenance, cleaning, and operational teams. Ensure communal areas are functional, tidy, and meet hotel-level standards. Maintain and enforce hygiene and safety protocols. Assist with check-ins, check-outs, and room inspections. Keep accurate logs of maintenance requests, issues, and operational reports. Provide regular updates to management on operations and resident satisfaction.

Qualifications

Proven experience in hotel management, front-of-house, or hospitality leadership. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Excellent organizational, administrative, and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness and service quality. Familiarity with maintenance and building operations. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings or weekends when required. Experience in premium student accommodation will be advantageous.
