Our client is searching for an experienced Teletrader to join a well-established consumables business based in Johannesburg. The role focuses on selling detergents and hygiene consumables, using a combination of an existing database and targeted cold calling to meet monthly sales targets. This role suits someone who is comfortable on the phone, understands consumable sales cycles, and knows how to build repeat business - not just chase once-off orders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sell detergents and hygiene consumables (toilet paper, sanitiser, soap, paper towels, etc.)
  • Manage and grow an existing client database
  • Conduct cold calling to acquire new SMME and government clients
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets
  • Build long-term client relationships and repeat business
  • Maintain accurate records of calls, leads, and sales activity
Minimum Requirements
  • 2–3 years’ experience in teletrading / telesales
  • Proven experience selling consumables, preferably detergents and hygiene products
  • Experience dealing with SMMEs and/or government clients
  • Strong cold calling and closing skills
  • Target-driven and comfortable working in a high-volume calling environment
  • Good communication skills in English
Advantageous Experience
  • Experience in the cleaning products / hygiene industry
  • Existing knowledge of consumables buying patterns and reorder cycle
  • Previous experience in dealing with SMME’s and especially government
