Emeris Durban North has a vacancy for a part‑time lecturer for the following module:

• Supply Chain Management

Key Performance Areas

• Preparation, conducting of lectures, tutorials and workshops;
• Providing study guidance, learning support, consultation and mentoring of students;
• Initiation and development of module materials, including online and web‑based materials;
• Marking and grading of student assessments;
• A range of administrative functions connected to the discipline and modules being taught;

Minimum Qualification Requirements

Ideal: Honours in Supply Chain or Logistics Management.

• Alternatively:
• Honours in one of the Business‑related fields (e.g. operations, supply chain or logistic management) – with Supply Chain Management to the third‑year level
• Bachelor’s degree with Supply Chain Management or a similarly related field (e.g. operations, supply chain or logistic management) – with Supply Chain Management to the third‑year level PLUS either an MBA/MBL or a postgraduate diploma in business.

Minimum Work Experience Requirements

• Lecturing experience in Supply Chain Management/ Integrated Logistics Management/ risk/ supply chain / retail management/ operations management
• Work experience as a logistics manager/ supply chain manager/ project manager/ risk manager/ retail management.

Working Conditions

• Please note that this is an Independent Contractor role
• Positions are part‑time, with lectures taking place between 08:00 and 17:00.
• Must reside in Durban (All classes take place on Campus)
• Applicants must be available to lecture for 2–3 days (business hours) within a week for the duration of the semester.
