Job description

A leading construction and engineering firm is seeking a highly motivated Structural Engineer to join their team in Paarl Cape Town.

The successful candidate will be involved in the design analysis and supervision of structural projects including steel and concrete structures ensuring quality safety and compliance with industry standards

Key Responsibilities

• Perform structural analysis and design for steel concrete and mixed-material structures.
• Prepare detailed construction drawings specifications and documentation.
• Conduct load calculations and finite element analysis (FEA) for various projects.
• Collaborate with architects contractors and project teams to ensure design integrity.
• Review and check structural designs for compliance with local codes and standards.
• Assist in project management including scheduling reporting and coordination.
• Participate in site inspections and provide technical guidance as needed.

Key Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• 25 years of experience in structural engineering or related field.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Revit and structural analysis software
• Strong understanding of building codes regulations and engineering standards.
