SEO & Content Performance Specialist – Cape Town.

We’re looking for an SEO & Content Performance Specialist to join an award winning travel company. You’ll be the driving force behind their online visibility – making sure every piece of content performs, every page is optimised, and every click counts.

This is the ideal opportunity for someone who blends technical SEO know-how with an eye for storytelling and data. You’ll collaborate with marketing, content, and development teams to strengthen the brand’s digital footprint and deliver measurable growth.

Salary: R28 000 per month (gross basic) + 4% company pension contribution.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • SEO Maintenance & Reporting
    • Keep up with global SEO trends and adjust strategies to stay ahead.
    • Run regular site audits and share performance insights (rankings, CTR, visibility, conversions).
    • Respond to search algorithm changes and track their impact.
    • Manage SEO tools like SEMrush and Screaming Frog to maintain data accuracy.
  • On-page SEO & Content Optimisation
    • Implement SEO and GEO strategies across multiple regions and languages.
    • Conduct keyword research, competitor analysis, and identify content opportunities.
    • Optimise web and blog content to align with search intent and user engagement.
    • Test and refine key elements such as meta data, structure, and layout to improve results.
  • Technical SEO
    • Perform technical audits and work with developers to implement fixes and improvements.
    • Improve site speed, structured data, and internal linking for better indexability.
    • Build and manage a sustainable backlink strategy.
    • Ensure all updates follow current SEO best practices.
  • Collaboration & Communication
    • Partner with marketing, content, and engineering teams to align goals.
    • Present data and results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Support content teams with optimisation guidance and SEO training where needed.
    • Encourage open communication and teamwork across departments.

Requirements:

  • Diploma or degree in Marketing, Communications, or Computer Science.
  • 3+ Years proven experience in SEO strategy, technical SEO, and analytics.
  • Strong understanding of tools such as Google Analytics, SEMrush, and Screaming Frog.
