Senior Product Analyst – Growth & Retention

Join M‑KOPA as a Senior Product Analyst on our Product – Growth team. In this role you’ll turn complex, multi‑channel data into clear, trustworthy decisions that drive repeat purchase, upgrade conversion, retention and customer lifetime value. The work directly supports our mission to bring financial inclusion and clean energy to millions across Africa.

What You’ll Do
  • Own our growth measurement framework – defining key events, conversion funnels, customer cohorts and success metrics across mobile app, CRM systems and telesales channels.
  • Build and maintain our Looker analytics layer: collaborate with analytics engineers to create reusable Look ML data models, implement governed metrics, automated data tables, set user permissions and use Git for version control.
  • Audit and replace manual tracking spreadsheets with automated dashboards, moving data from Excel files into dbt models and Looker dashboards.
  • Lead the transition from manual spreadsheet tracking to automated dashboards, including migrating funnel data input into structured systems.
  • Design and build dashboards for upgrade conversion rates, repeat purchase behavior, customer lifetime value (LTV) and unit economics.
  • Track agent performance and incentive analytics: build dashboards that track call volume, conversion rates, talk time efficiency, lead quality, revenue per agent and design real‑time leaderboards.
  • Build models estimating profit per customer cohort and track early signals predicting long‑term value.

Required Experience
  • Proven track record in product analytics at fintech, telco, e‑commerce or subscription company.
  • Strong SQL skills with experience building reliable data models using dbt.
  • Hands‑on experience with Looker – dashboards, Look ML, data governance and permissions.
  • Python or R for analyzing experiments, building cohort models and calculating customer lifetime value.
  • Experience combining data from multiple sources (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Statsig, Braze, Clever Tap, call‑center data).
  • Understanding of experiment design and analysis.
  • Experience designing performance metrics and incentive structures.
