After strong traction across Europe, the UK, and North America, we're expanding our global operations - and we're looking for a talented Sales Executive based in South Africa to drive new business and convert leads into paying platform subscribers.

Role Overview: Sales Executive

We're looking for a hungry, persuasive, and results-driven Sales Executive to convert inbound and outbound leads into paying subscribers and guide them through their first paid talent engagement on the platform.

In this role, you'll own the full sales cycle – from initial outreach and qualification through to closing deals and ensuring new clients successfully place their first paid opportunity. You'll work closely with the Marketing and Customer Success teams to maximise conversion rates and build a strong pipeline of brand and agency clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own the sales pipeline – qualify leads, conduct discovery calls, deliver demos, and close subscription deals with brands, agencies, and marketing teams.
  • Convert free trial users and marketing-qualified leads into paid subscribers through proactive outreach, follow-up, and value-driven conversations.
  • Guide new subscribers to their first paid talent opportunity – ensuring they understand how to post briefs, select athletes, and successfully execute their initial campaign.
  • Conduct outbound prospecting to generate new opportunities, including cold outreach to target accounts in key sectors.
  • Deliver compelling product demonstrations that clearly articulate platform value, ROI, and differentiation.
  • Hit and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets, including new subscriber acquisition and first-deal activation metrics.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, pipeline forecasts, and activity reporting.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to provide feedback on lead quality and campaign effectiveness.
  • Hand off activated clients smoothly to Customer Success for ongoing relationship management.
  • Stay informed about sports marketing trends, competitor offerings, and emerging opportunities in target markets.
Skills & Experience
Required Qualifications
  • 1–3 years' experience in B2B sales, business development, or inside sales (preferably in SaaS, marketing technology, or digital platforms).
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and quotas.
  • Strong closing skills with the ability to navigate objections and drive deals to completion.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills – confident on calls, demos, and video meetings.
  • Experience with CRM systems (HubSpot, or similar) and sales engagement tools.
  • Passion for sports, marketing, and digital media, with a desire to work in a fast-moving growth environment.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven, with a competitive edge and hunger to succeed.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience selling to marketing teams, brand managers, or agencies.
  • Understanding of SaaS subscription models, marketplace platforms, or influencer/talent marketing.
  • Familiarity with sports sponsorship, athlete endorsements, or creator economy trends.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
